Broken Barrel Cask Strength Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 2, 2024 (edited March 3, 2024)This noses like a quintessential bourbon with vanilla/oak/caramel. There are some other notes that are burries a bit - maybe bitter orange or a slightly underripe apricot? Not displeasing at all, though. The nose translates well - this isn’t a super complex pour, however - caramel, vanilla, baking spice with some good oak. I do not find the oak off putting in the least. The finish is long but it doesn’t “burn” on the back of the palate. It is warm and stays with you like a 115 proof bourbon should. The value is where it’s at though - 115 proof good bourbon for under $40. Not much around to compete with that.39.0 USD per BottleBankhead Beverage
