Pretty good. Only a little smoke.

I was surprised by how much I liked this. I had a single dram from a christmas gift and I just drank it because it was late and I just going to consume something to get rid of the dram bottle. I was shocked at how layered and complex it was. I would not hesitate to pick up a bottle if I come across it in a store. This makes me want to try more of Douglas Laing products.

Peat followed by fire

I think the anticipation and hype I had for trying this Campletown put it at a disadvantage. The nose was very muted. I smelled citrus, but it was very subtle. The pallate was complex and fairly good. It was dry, fruity, somewhat spicy, and had a very oaky flavor. The finish was also dry and warm.

Had a great aroma. smelled freshly brewed Black Tea. Taste carried through the motif of black tea with citrus. Finish was warm and smooth. Very nice.

I get cherry aroma, although that isn’t normally said about it. I get this every time I fly and sip it sometimes and mix it others. It’s a staple that doesn’t cost too much. Solid.

Vibrant and full on the nose. The palette is warm and vanilla. Spicy and strong. The finish is fire with toffee flavors. A good value for the money.

This is one of my favorite whiskys. The smoke is present from the nose but it’s still sweet. The sea rises on the palate with continued smoke and spiciness. Tamer that the Islay whiskys, this distillery on the Isle of Skye caught my attention after visiting. The finish is very smooth and peppery. This is full bodied and beautiful. This will be replaced in my cabinet every time it’s predecessor is depleted. A favorite.
