Really decent. There’s an accentuated flavor that I associate with corn as a grain in whiskey, not like corn on the cob if that makes sense. I could be wrong about the description, but that flavor is one that I get with more younger whiskeys. All in all, a decent bourbon. I think it noses a lot better than it tastes. But still pretty good.

Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed August 9, 2019 (edited August 29, 2019)Ok, I have been trying to put my finger on the classic JD profile and after finally reading some review, it’s totally Bananna! On the nose you get a ton of smokey banana. The palate has more very sweet banana and then strangely getting peanut butter on the finish. Definitely better than No. 7, but not doing very much for me. -

Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 3, 2019 (edited October 16, 2020)Similar profile to Eagle Rare (same mash bill, distillery etc), but way more ethanol vapors. That is true on the nose and the finish, ouch. It really covers up the subtle aromas that are present. I tasted this along side Eagle Rare, just to do a direct comparison. I hate to say it, because I paid top $ for both of these bottles, but I like Eagle Rare a lot more. It’s way smoother and the lack of ethanol vapors allows its flavors and aromas to come through.59.0 USD per Bottle
