Tastes

Nose: very mild, light oak, smoke, undefined fruit, ash Palate: thin, peat, hint of iodine, ash Finish: brief, ash I compared this head to head with Caol Ila 12 based on the guess that this might have been sourced from the same distillery. FWIW, unsurprisingly, Caol Ila 12 is a superior whisky end-to-end! This would be good for making a penicillin.

Batch IV Nose: cake; vanilla; light ginger Taste: smoke; cereal; vanilla; orange peel Finish: medium; pepper; sweet

Nose: oak, vanilla, smoke, candied apple, sea breeze Taste: smoke, meat, vanilla, toffee, iodine Finish: long, fresh salty seaside air, touch of sweetness, spice, ash

Nose: light smoke, brine, bright, ham Taste: peat, light oak, a bit of funk Finish: medium/long, pepper, hint of brine
