Nose reminds me of yellow cake and orange zest. Smooth and creamy, decently oily with leather and wood which fades into a mild wheat finish.

Light vanilla and barrel char in the nose. Smooth and light on the palate. Maybe a hint of citrus and a subtle rye pepper finish that intensifies and lingers.

Mint, cherries, brown sugar on the nose. Sweet caramelized bananas foster up front. Smooth nutty, peppery finish with a lingering cherry syrup flavor.

Nose of earth and wood. Light on the palate. Clearly a high barley mash bill - a little too much in my opinion. Nice rye spice on the finish. Drinks more like an 80-90 proof whiskey. Not bad for the money. May hold up well in an Old Fashioned.

Barrel char and a bit of sweet vanilla and cherry smell. Creamy vanilla taste with a bit of citrus and cinnamon sugar that fades into a typical rye spice on the way down. Decently oily, finish lingers on the palate and slightly sweetens as it fades.

Creamy vanilla and light toffee nose. Maybe a little butterscotch. Oily and smooth mouth feel with more soft toasted sweet notes. Possibly some mint on the finish that's quickly overtaken by a peppery rye that lingers and warms on the way down. Very good!

Creamy cocoa and vanillay creme brulee nose. More creamy vanilla on the palate with cinnamon stick rye spice finish.

Sweet corn and caramelized orange peel on the nose. Candied, spiced nuts and orange zest on the palate. Soft finish of honeycomb and a hint of rye spice.

Nutty and fruity nose - dried apricots and toasted almonds. Light on the palate, some mild baking spices and buttered wheat bread. Finish is pleasant with a hint of light caramel and sawdust.

Sweet, herbal, menthol nose. Fruity up front - grape, plum. Peppery rye followed by smokey, citrus, fruity finish. Subtle oak lingers once the alcohol evaporates. Surprisingly smooth for 111 proof. This might be my favorite rye whiskey to date...
