Sipping my first pour, it’s young (at least 2yrs. per the label) light nose of Rye spice, sweet maple syrup fades quick to strong anise/licorice, with a touch of apricots. Warm finish lingers with the spice of the Rye

Great legs & lacing, sweetness of the corn, spice from rye, hints of candied cherries, brown sugar, and vanilla. Enjoyed neat, thoroughly enjoyed it, and at this price point, it is an exceptional value.

Hint of sweetness, rye spice, dry with perceptible thinness, a hint of licorice which lingers along heat. Good looking bottle but barely average whiskey. Last, poor value.

On the Nose I get a pleasant aroma reminding me of a warm apple dumpling. On the palate mildly oily, sweet blending of corn, vanilla caramel toffee, and a hint of anise / cinnamon. *****
