Lagavulin Offerman Edition Caribbean Rum Cask Finish
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed May 26, 2024Not as peaty as the Lagavulin Offerman Charred Oak. It’s lighter than a typical Lagavulin. Adding water brings out more spiciness. -
Bruichladdich 18 Year Re/Define
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed May 11, 2024 (edited May 21, 2024)Nose is sweet, but i couldn’t identify a specific flavor. The taste was sweet and fruity, with a long finish. It’s quite hot, and i would have mistaken it for a cask strength. Very good. -
It has a spiciness to it, like cinnamon. It was not too bad, especially for the price, but I prefer Monkey Shoulder over this one. This is the second rye whiskey that I’ve tried (the other was the Balcones Rye 100 Proof), and I liked the Rittenhouse more than the Balcones. But at this point, I think I’ve decided that I prefer single malt Scotch whisky over rye or bourbon whiskey.25.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods
