This is their most basic release snd still fire! Peated halfway to the pleasant spoce and fruit that is amazing. Cant wait to see what they do in the future!

Hazelburn 10 Year
Single Malt — Campbeltown, Scotland
Reviewed April 10, 2024 (edited April 11, 2024)Nose was super sweet and fruity, lots of lemons, pineapple, and some raisins. The palate was super different, a very newtral mid palate. It was a unique experience, where the flavors and textures in the high and low notes were gone. It left mid palate notes of a nice but not sweet mango. The finish was shorter, but left a nice mango note! The best part was having tasting it at my bros house and the power went out and we were just chilling having great convos and great scotch waiting for the power to come back. -
Benriach 2009 Cask #3812 Pedro Ximenez Puncheon
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 2, 2024 (edited April 11, 2024)The PX cask gave the sweetness to combat the high ABV but the nose had a youth bite that was pared with a nail polish esc. note that probably needed a few more years to round out. Overall solid but needs some tweeking to get to where the other Benriach cask editions are. -
Benriach 1998 Cask #10297 Marsala Wine Hogshead
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 2, 2024 (edited April 11, 2024)A very nice punchy desert version of the Benriach family. The marsala added lots of lovely dark fruit and nutty flavors I did find it to overpower the distillate a bit more than I like, but what can I expect from 23 years in a marsala cask! Beautiful color and great finish! -
Overall the nose was not my favorite, a bit to much nail polish esc sweetness, though I loved the poached pear note, but the palate was one of themes different nose to palate combos ive ever experiences. the palate was so earthy, not sweet with a light bitterness. Very delicious with a earthy medium finish.

Simply a great Rum! Rich from the 25 years in bourbon barrels, and full of balanced spices and cane sugar. This is an easy win for a whisky drinker with a bose that is not full of syrup sugar that some young rums have, but a sweet sugar cane, cinnamon notes that warm you like christmas. The palte and finish contine with the same beatiful flavors and end rich and dense.

The Glenturret 10 years aged peat smoke 2021 release
Single Malt — Highland, Scotland
Reviewed January 9, 2024 (edited January 11, 2024)A lovely thick dram that carries the peat very well! The nose, probably my least favorite part of this, has a great burnt bacon note but it is covered in a young nail polish-esk note. The palate and finish is where this whisky shines! It is thick, full of beatiful dark smokey peat with a great spice and sea salt.
