Baker's Single Barrel Bourbon 7 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 17, 2021 (edited April 9, 2021)Full bodied, and surprisingly hot for the proof. Rustic with lots of vanilla, a little bitter char, apple and cinnamon. Love the heat this has but could see this turning some off. -
Joseph Magnus Triple Cask Finished Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (Finished and Bottled in Washington DC), USA
Reviewed May 30, 2020 (edited June 3, 2020)Dark fruit, mint, and dates on the nose and a prominent sherry note on entry. Caramel and raisins accompany the classic bourbon profile. Mouthfeel is slick and a bit oily. Dark chocolate and oak on the finish. -
High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed May 3, 2020Really interesting whiskey here, much more musty peat smoke presence than I thought there would be which is very nice. Has a bit of that herbal rye quality and fresh dill burst that balances out classic bourbon profile. Getting butterscotch and fresh leather. -
New Riff 4 Year Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 8, 2020 (edited April 16, 2020)Fresh baked bread and vanilla on the nose. Very thin mouth feel. Cherry syrup and orange rind followed by vanilla and slight alcohol presence. Little to no oak. Spices on the finish. Tastes young as to be expected. -
