BenRiach 21 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed December 27, 2020 (edited February 1, 2021)The nose smells almost peaty, but you find on the palate that it’s toasted oak and toasted honeycomb. There’s also hints of pineapple and caramelized sugar from the toasted oak. The finish is smoky and a little oily so that it lingers a bit. -
Teremana Tequila Blanco
Tequila Blanco — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed December 25, 2020 (edited February 18, 2021)Very similar to Casamigos in my opinion. I get a little floral note at the end. Delicious straight or in a cocktail -
Talisker Port Ruighe
Single Malt — Islands, Scotland
Reviewed December 19, 2020 (edited February 14, 2021)Very balanced whisky. There are some deep and dried fruit notes from the port casks: plum and raisin with brown sugar. The peat provided the perfect amount of smokiness and salt. The finish is long with a bit of oak, cracked pepper, and hint of chocolate.
