A good looking bottle of an Irish Whiskey. I believe it is cheap and it does the job. Basically the Sexton Single Malt is your average dram. Bottled at 40%abv. On the nose, Cherries, Vanilla, Banana. It is Sweet dram with No alcohol note at all. Caramel and toffee. I can bet american white oak was used to mature this one. On the palate, Nice mashed bananas, Pepper. Very Smooth and Simple dram. Aftertaste has a ginger note and also a bitter tobacco but pleasant finish. Overall, this dram is a good option for an everyday whiskey. It doesn't feel irish, but it is drinkable. 76/100

I had the opportunity to try this one at a duty free, so i took out my notepad and start writing about it. This irish whiskey is very smooth, but the grain presence is easily felt. Bottled at 40%abv. On the nose grain whiskey is detected right away. Cereal, uncooked rice and fresh fields are the most noticeable aromas. On the palate it is your typical irish dram. A Full barley taste, Yeast, Cereal, Chocolate. Aftertaste is very very very smooth. Super cereal flavor, but so pleasant. Well done. Overall this dram deserves a 73 over 100. A normal irish whiskey, there are better options, but it was good to have something new from the land of the triple distilled whiskey.

Out of the UFC octagon and into the distillery, the (in)famous Connor McGregor brings us his latest investment, an Irish Whiskey called "Proper Twelve". It was actually going to be called "The Notorious", since that is Connor's nickname as a fighter, but due to some intelectual property issues he couldn't get the name for his label. In most press releases, McGregor has declared that "he wants to beat Jameson", and my first intention with this review is to find out if this young dram can do it or not. Bottled at 40%abv, burnished gold color. On the nose, mostly grain whiskey notes appear. Prunes, Vanilla dry cake; Chocolate dry cake, very very Yeasty; Dry brown grass; There is an alcohol note that is not bothering anyone. After the first sip the vanilla grows stronger and more yeast appear along with and uncooked rice note. On the palate, it is not harsh at all. It is creamy, Pepperu and mostly Yeasty. Cereal, Vanilla and Acid prunes. Aftertaste is short and uninteresting; grassy, oily and a little spicy. Overall, this is a very easy drinkable whiskey, for $30 is actually not a bad dram. I believe Jameson (the core expression) is not only cheaper but also better, but i see that Connor Mcgregor is really trying to compete with it. I have read reviews where people destroy this dram, but for me it is not bad at all. It is just simple and grainy. My score for it is 68 over 100.

Singleton of Glendullan Select (Game of Thrones-House Tully)
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 25, 2020 (edited May 4, 2021)It is exactly what you expect from every singleton, a light fruit juice. This one is the Game of Thrones special edition, from the "House Tully", it is called "Select". Another NAS whisky intended for collection. Bottled at 40%abv On the nose, very fruity. Green apples, some clove, pears, acetone, sider, apricots. On the palate is very spicy actually, i was not expecting that. Not unpleasant at all, actually it is a mixture of spices. Mostly herbal spices like rosemary and clove. Peppery and clove finish, long but dim. Actually not a bad whisky, but i wouldn't buy it since you can get much better for the same price. 78/100. -
I had the opportunity to taste this one with a couple of friends who had a sample box of many whiskies. This is a french whisky. It tells the story about the WILD BOAR-WOLF. Yep, half Wild Boar and half Wolf, this mystical animal lurks the Black Mountain were this whisky came from. There is actually a video of a guy trying to find it. Pretty cool stuff. Bottled at 45%abv, pale straw color. On the nose: Vanilla, Pepper, Cake, lemon, fresh forest. Not the best aroma in town, mostly sweet and citric... cheap. On the palate it is actually a good dram. Creamy, with a slight peat, but gets a little watery and then oily. Aftertaste is very interesting because it feels like grain whisky but peated. Ashy but creamy. Overall this is an interesting dram, nothing to die for, but worth a try. 78 over 100, i could have given it at least the 80 points for the cool story.

A very simple dram that gets the job done. Nothing really to see here except the nice label that the bottle has. Bottled at 40%abv. On the nose: toffee and caramel. Nothing else. Not bad, nothing special either. On the palate: very sweet caramel with hints of spices. Aftertaste is bitter, with prunes and kind of ashy. Overall this is a regular dram, 61/100 is a fair score for it.

I have never heard of it before this day. I found it on a VIP airport lounge in Turkey, and i ask for a dram. I believe it is pretty cheap, and it seems is popular in Poland and Turkey. Bottled at 40%abv, tawny colored. On the nose is too dim. And it is more a prune/herbal/grapy bourbon rather than a Vanilla/banana bourbon. Notes of prunes, dry brown grass, tobbacco leaf and a little ashy/coal notes (like in Jack Daniel's). On the palate is amazingly boring. Caramel, bitter prunes, herbal notes. Too simple; too easy dribkable. This is one you buy when you are young and want to get drunk for a low price. Finish is spicy; mostly ginger. Medium long. Overall i gave it a 60 over 100, and then i added water. Water improved it a lot, revealing the vanilla/banana notes on the nose and vanilla sweetness and brown sugar notes on the palate. This might raise the score to reach a 64 over 100, but still a 3.0. Drink it only under my same circumstances: if it is free.

Singleton of Glendullan Classic
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed April 25, 2020 (edited October 26, 2022)I have seen so much of this whisky all over the place. It is selling like crazy here in south america, but somehow i always knew this distillery has nothing to offer me. Bottled at 40% abv, this is a speysider so brace yourself for boringness. I believe this is their cheapest expression. On the nose it is your classic speysider: apple juice, crushed almonds and cinnamon. Nothing else. On the palate it is easy drinkable, with cinnamon spice, almonds and honey, cereal. Must be young since the oaky burn is there and it has a short aftertaste, oaky. Not unpleasant at all, but boring. Maybe for a entry level this might work, not my cup of tea. Overall i give it a 69 over 100. It was free in a duty free, so i can cross this one out of my list without paying for it, which is a good thing. -
I can bet 1000 dollars you haven't heard about this one. This "Whiskey" made of bourbon (¿?) Is an Ecuadorian manufactured Whiskey, made using Bulk blended Bourbon, water and adding caramel, this cheap bottle is fine (regular). On the nose is beautifully sweet, with vanilla, honey, orange, toffee, caramel, cough remedy, Christmas Cake and a little alcohol. On the palate is a little harsh (like all cheap whiskies), with oak, brown dry grasses, slight spices, a little bitter, and hotness overall. It is light-medium bodied, finish is medium and very harsh with some oakyness. Drank it at the airport, it was 40% abv. Nothing to remember, but not bad either.

A very unbalanced bourbon, the nose on this one is great but then it falls apart. Bottled at 45.2%abv. Nose is wonderful, cherry, plum, banana, herbal spiciness, lots of wood and sawdust, caramel. On the palate it is a little plain. Herbal notes, oak wood, and oak spice. Too much oak if you ask me. Finish is very short and oaky, maybe a little burn. Not pleasant. Boring. Overall this dram gets a fair 70 over 100, i believe some "oak lovers" will rate it a little higher but nothing special.
