Nice and warm, first tastes brought thoughts of cookies, even ginger bread, vanilla, cinnamon. The nose is reminiscent of the sweet smells of spiced cookies emanating from the oven on a christmas morning . Pleasant drink, not amazingly complex or round but damn I can imagine it would taste great in an irish coffee. Or all by itself

first nose, very alcoholy. first sip has wave of sweetness up front, a bit spicy in the throat - a burn from the alcohol. it's not a super smooth whiskey. on further drinking, i feel like i can taste the cask, a bit of charred oak taste. not my favorite, but granted - it is a young whiskey, probably around 3 or so year old. but it is pretty drinkable, just not so complex and smooth as an aged whiskey or other finer japanese whiskeys.

already excited to try this one, the second i put my nose in my glass i'm nailed with a pile of peat and earth. i'm new to the world of peaty whiskies, so to me this is an amazingly unique taste. constant warmness in the throat, the high alcohol content is clear on the burn but not on the nose or the palate, which is nice. beautiful color, such a reddish amber - it looks like it could be a glass of apple juice. continuing to drink, i'm picking up on spices like cinnamon, maybe even cardamom, damn its spicy! i love this whiskey35.0 EUR per Bottle

Definitely drinkable. Very mild, a little bit dry, pleasant/light mouth burn. Not really sweet, not really peaty - honestly, I have a hard time placing any distinguishing characteristics. However, I still enjoy it as a standard, consistent, albeit a little base, but still reliably good whiskey. Second take, nose in the glass, picking up the alcohol smell - damn can't tell if my sense of smell is shot or if this whiskey is really so nonaromatic. Well whatever, I like it.

before opening, looks really light. has a strong ethanol aroma. little spicy. not picking up on much complexity honestly, still getting quite a bit of ethanol/alcohol smells and tastes. kinda sweet. kinda bitter like i'd expect nutshells or rancid oil from a nut would taste like haha. after letting it air and chill for a second ethanoly smell and taste turns a bit more on the maple syrup side. however, something is not totally appetizing about this whiskey - not totally bad either. i'd drink it if someone offered

Gooderham & Worts Four Grain Canadian Whisky
Canadian — Ontario, Canada
Reviewed December 16, 2018 (edited December 18, 2018)lightly spicy, a little mossy, nose is almost cinnamon. taste is grainy, ryey. reminds me of something baked in winter time. pretty smooth, like i said light burn - a good whiskey. so far the best out of this damn canadian gift set i was given. -
good, not great. darkish color. burns slightly to drink. can smell sweetness, vanilla, rum. however, the sweetness or vanilla taste doesn't come off strong on the palate and isn't artificial tasting. has a sort of pleasant mouth burn. has a sort of rumish after taste/ quality about it. would drink again.
