Bowman Brothers Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Virginia, USA
Reviewed July 5, 2022 (edited July 29, 2024)I get a hint of vanilla and leather on the nose. Very pleasant. Spicy on the tongue at first sip, mellowing to a smooth sweetness. Red apple and a touch of oak lingers on the finish. A tasty sip and great value at this price point. -
1792 Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 4, 2022 (edited November 7, 2022)Very nice nose. Smells of pear, spice, and a bit of leather. Really like how this smells. Sweetness and spice on the tip of the tongue on first sip. A little bit of bitterness I'm not a fan of mid pallete, finished with a nice toasted oak. Finish lingers nicely. Overall and enjoyable sip. I wish the sweetness carried through a little more in the taste. -
Trail's End 8 Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon Finished With Oregon Oak
Bourbon — Kentucky (bottled in Oregon), USA
Reviewed June 8, 2022Nose smells slightly sweet, like raisins with maybe a hint of vanilla. Prominent oak taste throughout the sip but not in a bad way. A little spiciness on the finish, but doesn't linger long. Not bad overall but not a lot of complexity. -
Nose smells of baking spices and red apple. A little oily on the tongue, I get tastes of rye spice, a hint of vanilla, and more of that crisp red apple. A pleasant warm oak backbone holds it all together. Not a bad pour at this price point, but probably not one I will come back to. Might be a nice mixer.

Elijah Craig Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 28, 2022 (edited April 3, 2022)I get a lot of green apple on the nose. A bit of ethanol as well. Taste is semi sweet and smooth. Not very complex but finishes with a nice long lasting warm honey note.
