Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 23, 2019 (edited August 11, 2023)I was pleasantly surprised from my first pour. Considering that this bottle (750ml) was 12 dollars and change, I was a little skeptical, however the tantalizing scent filling my nostrils had me intrigued, as to what this 100 proof could do. On the palate she wasn't bad either, I actually enjoyed sipping on this... The nose was filled with vanilla custard, brown sugar, and an overall good bourbon smell. The palate was a bit spicy but sweet, maybe black pepper, notes of vanilla, and caramel. Each sip was smooth considering the proof, however there was a considerable amount of heat. She was full flavored, and for the price, this is darn good choice if you can't get your hands on your creme de la creme. -
on the first sip I can taste the sweetness of the drink, notes of vanilla, warm bread, and somewhere in there are floral notes. I purchased this while it was on sale, saw that it was labeled as being a small batch, and so I took a chance... not my favorite, and probably not on my shelf again. Not bad, just didn't do it for me. ** 2 years ago this was my the first wheated bourbon I'd ever had. I will revist this again, as I've tasted some good wheated bourbon. **

I've been seeing this bourbon, more and more on my social media pages, and also on the shelves in the store. I decided to buy this single barrel, and my thoughts are this..... it's good, not great, and for the money I could've got Henry McKenna and kept it moving. Notes of a warm oatmeal cookie, you can taste the vanilla, brown sugar, even a little fruit on the palate. it was a good sip, and will have a spot on the bar until it's gone.32.0 USD per BottleDurham
