John J Bowman Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Virginia, USA
Reviewed January 12, 2022 (edited May 13, 2022)This is an incredible 100 proof single barrel bourbon that I enjoyed. I'm a fan of Bowman Brothers Small Batch(90 proof)... Come to think of it, I wonder if the hundred proof originally comes from Buffalo Trace as the small batch... Either way this is some really good juice!... I ending up killing my bottle with friends this past fall, enjoying football and great company. -
Russell's Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 12, 2022 (edited January 20, 2022)Listen here!! Jimmy and Eddie Russell sure know what they're doing. This single barrel is a 110 proof, 750ml bottle of pure goodness. I enjoy it neat, over an Ice block or sphere, and it makes one heck of an old fashioned! If you haven't tried Russell's Reserve Single Barrel, I encourage you to make this your next purchase, as you will be more than satisfied!!59.99 USD per Bottle -
Blanton's Original Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 12, 2022 (edited January 9, 2023)Okayyyyy, I was very fortunate to have my first two bottles of Blanton's gifted to me by good friends. That said, without them I'd still be hunting... As for the bourbon, Blanton's did live up to the hype, however I do believe that there are other single barrel bourbons easily accessible on shelves nationwide (Russell's Reserve, or Four Roses, etc..) that are just as good, and equal or less than in price. During a recent "Bourbon drop" of allocated juice in my area, there was a 1 item per customer table, I chose another bottle over the Blanton's. I'll still be on the hunt to make my first purchase of this stuff, but like I said, there are other single barrels that are just as good, if not better. -
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 4, 2021 (edited January 10, 2022)I'm a fan of WT101, so after reading reviews I had to try this. It's definitely a matured WT101, my bottle/barrel, had huge notes of vanilla and spice on the nose. I enjoyed the flavors on the palet as well. The finish was subtle, which made for a great drink... I enjoyed 1 pour, neat. * I do believe that a better buy would be Rare Breed, or Russell's Reserve Single Barrel -
Wow! My first thought is I should've got a bigger bottle, as I purchased the 375ml, just to get a taste. Full of vanilla, toffee, and caramel notes, and on the palate it delivers the same. Full, rich, and some sweetness. Excellent sip! *update 1/12/22* I got a bigger bottle!!! Yup, this one doesn't disappoint full of the flavors mentioned before, and oak, how did I forget the oak and char notes!?!... This is a really good bourbon that I enjoy neat, or poured over a huge ice ball.

WOW!.. The nose is very intriguing, filled with warm spices, subtle notes of minty goodness, with an aroma of vanilla following. At 116.8 proof there is definitely some heat on the palate, but it couples well with sweet vanilla, a touch of brown sugar, and toasted bread. The finish is very warm, however the classic WT 101 somehow makes an appearance leaving a lingering taste of vanilla to pop your taste buds. Definitely worth the buy in the 40-50$ range, you will not be disappointed.44.0 USD per BottleRiverview Shopping Center

Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed February 8, 2021My take on Angels Envy Appearance: Golden brown/Amber Nose: dried fruits, raisin, caramel, roasted nuts (pecan/almonds).. Sweet but mellow, with hints of vanilla, and light spices. Palate: body feels light, but balanced. Sweetness of dried fruits, light vanilla, light oak... Smooth and flavorful. Finish: a tad bit dry, little heat, and a bit nutty. Definitely enjoyed this one, I'm just getting home from work, so I had 1 pour, neat. Can't wait to try this with an ice ball/square, to see how it opens up. Probably wont mix in a cocktail (old fashioned) as this is able to stand on its own for my palate. -
I wasn't blown away with Four Roses Small Batch. My initial pour was neat, the next on an ice sphere, for both the nose was sweet, floral, with hints of fruit. On the palate there was notes of fruit, light cinnamon, a tad of vanilla. However, when I mixed this with Bittermilk smoked honey whiskey sour cocktail mix the four roses stood out and made me say ahhh. If I catch it on sale, I'll buy again.
