Rabbit Hole Founder's Collection Mizunara (2021 Release)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 17, 2021 (edited August 2, 2024)The nose is unlike anything else I’ve ever experienced. It’s perfect! I’d be happy just smelling this all day and never tasting it. The palate is equally unique and is loaded with fruit and sweetness. This drinks well below its proof. The finish is long. This stuff is amazing. -
Old Forester Birthday Bourbon 2020
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 23, 2020 (edited December 3, 2020)Awesome nose! Cinnamon, oak, vanilla and caramel. Palate is more of these note but it’s very thin and one dimensional. Finish is short and leaves me wanting more. This is a good easy drinking bourbon. There’s not much not to like, but there is no wow factor and no complexity. This bourbon would benefit greatly from a higher proof. -
Bardstown Bourbon Co. Château de Laubade Armagnac Finish
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Kentucky), USA
Reviewed July 20, 2020 (edited April 11, 2022)This is one complex, deep and awesome pour. Think of sweet dark purple grapes cooked in caramel sauce. The palate is thick and coating and the finish is long. I could sip on this all day. The price is pretty decent too. One of the best of 2020. -
Rare Perfection 15 Year Cask Strength Canadian Whisky
Canadian — Canada
Reviewed July 20, 2020 (edited November 24, 2020)This is great juice. The nose is deep and rich and complex. The palate of rich and coating. The finish is short, which is my only knock on this bourbon. Overall, very well done! -

Jefferson's Reserve Twin Oak Custom Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 7, 2019 (edited October 2, 2019)This pour is complicated to say the least. Nose: Terrible. Varnish and oak. It reminds of that terrible Tim Smith Wood-fired moonshit, er shine. Palate: Better than the nose. Lots of wood and vanilla. Finish: Soft and lingering with cinnamon and vanilla. Conclusion: The finish is where this shines. I really hope this oxides nicely like the OF 1910. Otherwise, I totally wasted $80. Fuck!!
