Glenfiddich 14 Year Bourbon Barrel Reserve
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed February 1, 2016 -
Nose is packed full of earthy, peaty, smoke and that smell of a medicine cabinet. Neat, it's like chewing on a burnt piece of firewood with a bit of salted caramel. A bit of water seems to release more of the herbal qualities of the peat with a surprising bit of sweetness. The peat and smoke linger letting you know you just had a little bit of Islay.

Glenlivet 12 Year Double Oak
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed December 13, 2015 (edited December 24, 2015)Everything about this scotch me think of fresh warm apples with cinnamon & sugar. Finishes quick. Easy to drink neat but a bit of water brings out more of the fruit. A good basic scotch. -
