Tastes

A nice blend, especially if you like the peat but it is no replacement for the late, lamented superiorr Green Label (whose fans Diageo uses to be aiming this at). Its smoky as all get out but you can get more bang for your buck at this price with any number of single malts.

I am inordinately fond of this whiskey, as it was my introduction to the Islay malts and has a special place in my heart (and liquor cabinet). A fine starter Islay for those who are put off the peatier malts of the island and an outstanding value as well in terms of quality to price.

Quite simply, the best blended malt I've ever tasted.
