Buffalo Trace Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedBourbon right down the middle. I’ll take Wild Turkey 101 all day over this though...
Kentucky Owl 11 Year Kentucky Straight Rye (Batch #1)
Rye — Kentucky, USATastedTastes a lot like a decent WhistlePig Store Pick. Has a lot going for it, but not SUPER awesome or anything...
Lot No. 40 Canadian Rye
Canadian — CanadaTastedGood, not something I’d love to sip, but it’ll do.
High West Bourye (2015 Release)
Blended American Whiskey — Indiana & Kentucky (Bottled in) Utah, USATastedGood, not great, at $80 a pass... Not a blemish from high west, just not something that I need occupying my limited shelf space.
Sazerac Rye 18 Year (Fall 2016)
Rye — Kentucky, USATastedGood, but missing something somewhere, just overall forgettable. Bummed I opted to try this over retrying the Handy, but such is life.
Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 15 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedGreat bourbon. Not as smooth as the 20, but the higher proof gives it an extra angle to work with. Given the choice, I’ll have the 20.
Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedLower proof but more refined than the 15. Not paying $1200 for a bottle, but would be up there in best bourbon I’ve had.
Michter's US*1 Toasted Barrel Strength Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USATastedGreat nose. Taste really young, corny and ethanolly.
James E. Pepper 1776 Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Kentucky), USATastedNot horrible, but never gonna buy another bottle.
Colonel E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedReally good, but when the Small Batch is pretty much tastes the same and sells for almost half the price, I pass on this.
