3.5 Good stuff, in a world where I’m looking for high performance or lower price, this struggles to figure find it’s way back on my shelf.

Tried up against William Larue Weller and George T Stagg (all 2017 releases) and this took the cake.

Great Rye, on the same tier as High West Rendezvous Rye as a findable, sub-$70 Rye that is a super enjoyable straight pour.

I'm a bourbon snob and I finally got around to buying a bottle of this... It's one of those rare bottles that you will enjoy neat, but is so cheap you'll have absolutely no reservations using it for an old fashioned. It's an easy 4 stars all day, but when you realize that flavor profile cost you $22 and not $52 it's a no brainer... 5 Stars.

I will give this another shot, but for the first time ever, I am disappointed in a High West product. It tastes like vodka that's been ages in a used bourbon barrel for a couple years. Not what I was hoping for when I acquired this bottle...

The standard Barrel Select is fantastic this is just a step behind. The flavors are still great, but the higher proof doesn't bring the flavors together as well and I'm a proof whore.

Just opened, so may change with som O2, but initial thoughts are its good. I can taste all the flavors that I want to taste and for the proof (118) it's super smooth. For right now however, it's just a little bland. I am hopeful some time on the shelf with a touch of fresh air will bring out flavors better.

This is a very good rye, but doesn't quite check all the boxes. The single barrels are top shelf all the way once they get a little oxygen and only about $10 more.

Killer nose. Smooth with a lot of floral and vanilla. Heat follows with a very nice finish. I'd recommend as a top tier rye. Different than most but better than most too.
