Great drink. Sweet on tge end with a hint of tobacco. Nice mild hug to warm you. Glad I added this to my collection.

Tasted neat with just a few drops of water to open it up. Raisin on the nose. Just a hint. Sweet on the palate with a smooth caramel finish. Very nice. Glad i decided to grab this bottle. And at msrp $130.

Tonight’s selection arrived on Sunday. It is not yet available in our market. I had to preorder this one. It is the newest release from Metallica’s Bkackened Whiskey line. It is a double cask rye appropriately titled Rye The Lightning. It is delicious. Smooth with no rye burn. Sweet and caramel. Finished in Madeira and Rum casks. Delicious. Going to have to use this one sparingly. At least until it makes it to this side of the US. Come on guys. It says born in Bardstown on the bottle, you cough Ave at least released it here first instead of Cali. @metallica @blackenedamericanwhiskey #ryethelightning

Don’t let the price fool you. This is a great bourbon. No flashy packaging. Aged 12 years and under $40. This is a really good bourbon. Perfect proof at 107. Good taste with just the right amount of Ky Hug. Will make this a regular purchase.

Sweet caramel nose. Smooth to start with a peppery finish. Expected the smoothness due to the low ABV at 94 proof. Yet it is an enjoyable drink. Bought it due to my profession. Was glad that it didn’t disappoint. Wish the price was a little lower, but not a deal breaker. Will definitely make this a regular pour. Cheers!!

First taste, neat in Glencairn glass. Nose is toasty with hints of vanilla and rich leather. Taste is citrus fruit and cake. With a nice warm hug that lasts a bit. Second taste, large cube in ricks glass. Really brings out the vanilla. Nice lingering bite.

Tasting the Single Barrel pick that is Sherry and Apple brandy finished. First neat in a Glencairn glass. Apple and cinnamon nose. Apple, cinnamon and lingering vanilla in the taste. Mild hug from the 114.6 proof. Second taste, on the rocks. Same Apple and cinnamon nose. The ice really brings out the apple and vanilla. Smooths out the finish. Very nice.

Wine nose, which stands to reason. Smooth taste. Wine and oak dominate the flavor. Light hug after. Nice.

First taste neat. Dark color, spice nose. Spiced fruit, vanilla. Smooth with a little bite. Great sipping. Second taste with a small ice ball. The ice mellows it out and brings out the vanilla and the caramel. I enjoy this bourbon both ways. Depends on your mood. And at the price point it’s great.

Gram cracker nose. Smooth honey and mild spice on the palate. Excellent decision to purchase this hard to find bottle. Cheers!!!
