Tastes

So fortunate to have this back on my shelf! The cab barrels lend some depth of flavor and smoothes this out nicely. Just a very slight hint of spice and the tiniest bit sweet. This is a solidly good bourbon; neat in a glen cairn

Rich on the nose, pretty complex. Just a little bite but not bad given the proof. Stewed dark fruits then a little butter mixed with mild spices and a smooth lingering warmth

A little butterscotch on the nose with a hint of floral. A hint of cinnamon on the front but overall smooth, buttery and. Or hot, doesn’t linger very long.

On the nose a little brown sugar and toasted pecan , hint of cinnamon Clove and brown sugar with a bite of cinnamon, maybe baked fruit. Very slow fade on the finish. Very nice neat

Oak and wildflower on the nose. A little bite on the front with honey like influence. Light flavor, lingers a bit but fades clean. A hint of vanilla on backside. Heat lingers a bit. To be noted, tasting done neat in Glencairn. I don’t normally go for ice but other reviewers call out fig and baked apple so I’ll try again that way.

A little cherry, vanilla, mild spice. Even flavor profile with a quick bite at the start but pleasant lingering after taste. Not too hot, not too sweet.

I keep this on my shelf at all times.
