High West Campfire (Discontinued)
Blended American Whiskey — (bottled in Utah), Multiple Countries
Reviewed May 31, 2019 (edited June 8, 2019)Nose: rye spice of pepper and an ice which is in a delicate balance with a strong sweat corn. Lingering in the background is the smell of a fire pit the morning after a campfire in the very best of ways. Pallet: honey, vanilla, just a bit of spice from the rye and a continuation of the morning after campfire in the morning in the warm sensation of the 46%. The smoke smooths out the alcohol bite and makes this drink like water. Finish: that smoke.... it lingers long and good the way campfire smoke sticks to clothes. Some don’t like that smell but for me that is one of the best smells in the world. This is the perfect camping whisky for everybody no matter what their experience level is. -
