You know, this actually wasn’t too bad considering how dirt cheap it is. I’d drink it again.

Sometimes I think it’s the definition of overrated, other times I sorta get the hype. Let’s see how I feel today. The nose is by far the high point. Cereal grains, oak, and char gather around a distinct cinnamon Red Hots and baking spice aroma. Things fall apart on the palate. Cinnamon candy tries and fails to cut through a wall of characterless charcoal and vaporous ethanol. Neither are overwhelming, but both are blunt , ungraceful. When the vanilla and baking spice come through they’re too sweet. Finish is a faint prickle and oak plank. A middling bourbon, especially bearing a 10 year age statement. Not a waste of $30, but not something I’d buy again and definitely not something that measures up to its reputation for me.
