Tastes

A little peat on the nose and excellent sherry flavor on the palate with a little saltiness. I bought it trying to expand on Islay whisky and I was not disappointed.

In February, I had the opportunity to attend a tasting in Northern Virginia, and Laphroaig 30 year was one of the pleasure of the event. The taste was sweet and surprisingly not as peated as I was expected. The years in the cast made this whisky very smooth and a very unique experience.

I've tried the Yamato whisky and it was good, very drinkable, but the Yamato Special Edition is on another level. The whisky is full of flavor and it goes down well, as is. No water needed.
