Four Roses Yellow Label Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 22, 2014 (edited July 28, 2017)4 stars for the price...Very sweet and easy to drink. The sweet taste lingers and is not as complex as other bourbons but finishes smooth, yet flat. . A good entry level bourbon... -
Four Roses Small Batch Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2014 (edited June 15, 2017)Great bourbon for the price. Worth buying a bottle, or two. Very smooth, sweet with a slight fruitiness. Not as sweet as some single barrel Four Roses versions I've tried. I would give it 92/100. -
Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2014 (edited June 8, 2016)One of my "day to day" favorites to enjoy casually with friends. Very smooth, sweet and fruity. I know it's not a "bourbon" but it sure is good, regardless of what some bourbon snobs might say. Hard to go wrong for the price. I like it on the rocks...I agree with the 91/100 score. -
Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey (Discontinued)
American Single Malt — Colorado, USA
Reviewed October 15, 2014 (edited October 18, 2014)Batch #126. Not your typical American whiskey! I love the taste...a pleasant surprise! Hits fast with sweet then spicy notes with a smooth finish. Very similar to good scotch which is not surprising since its made with barley. In my opinion it's best savored on the rocks, using larger slower melting cubes. If you're looking for a sweet burbon like whiskey, this is NOT for you. I would give it 91/100.
