Very sweet. Lingers a while which is good. Oaky notes.

Good up front without much evolution

Most middle of the road bourbon I can think of. Should be the benchmark for average. I really only get peanuts on the palate.

This is the best value in rye whiskey. It’s delicious with heat from the proof, spiciness from the rye, and a subtle sweetness underneath it to balance it out. You can’t possibly beat this for $25. It’s fantastic neat and also for any cocktail calling for rye. It’s a rye for bourbon drinkers no doubt.

I really like this bourbon. The sweetness is perfectly balanced by some bite from the rye component. Very well-rounded. Just a bit too expensive to be my daily drinker at $40

I think the rarity makes this bottle what it is rather than the price. It has a slightly astringent bite to it that I think is the rye component that I don’t necessarily love. It’s fine overall.

One note- not complex. Pretty light. Has a fake sweetener taste to it that reminds me of smarties.
