Tastes

Sweet and spicy on the nose. The first taste was a punch in the face with peaty and smoky note, but went through pretty smooth, with a lot of honey and a hint of brine. After taste is a long and dry one -- just like cigarettes.

Smells spicy and oaky, on the palate honey and vanilla are coming out with brine and oak along with a hint of pear. The finish is quite short with only a hint of honey. Pretty smooth and worth the money. Not sophisticated enough though.

Sweet, note of vanilla, really smooth. But for the money, I'd like to get Macallan 12 instead. This scotch is not as rich and delicate as 12.

Nice. This is my first peaty scotch. The first time I opened it I felt really uncomfortable with the peaty flavor. But after a few days the peaty smell becomes weaker, and it's pretty smooth to drink. As others mentioned, finish is a bit short, but with long sweet and fruity flavor in mouth. Overall a very sophisticated scotch, definitely worth the price.
