My very first single-malt! Took awhile to get used to it, but it was a good dram to launch my whisky journey. Light and fruity. Complex, but not overwhelmingly so.

Standard bourbon flavors of butterscotch/vanilla. Seemed smoother than the 45% ABV and even though it has a higher rye content, it reminded me of W.L. Weller Special Reserve and Maker's Mark.

Easy drinker. Sweet fruits with vanilla on the nose. Creamy texture with fruit, butterscotch, and oak on the tongue. Finish was short and smooth.

On the nose it's butterscotch and vanilla and tastes like like butterscotch/toffee with some oakiness. Warm, sweet finish.

Friendly and light. On the nose I got honey and vanilla with oakiness. It tasted just like it smelled, butterscotch/vanilla with oak. The finish is warm and oaky. Good intro whisky on the cheap.

This was only my second peated whiskey. I get antiseptic, band-aid with the slightest hint of fruit and sweetness on the nose. To me it tasted like BBQ bacon with some oak spice in the back. The finish was short and tasted like band-aid/rubber.

I get alcohol and vanilla on the nose and it tastes like spicy graham cracker with a hint of mint. Finish is mildly spicy and fairly short. For the price, this is a solid bourbon.
