Nose is sweet with brown sugar. Tasting you’ll find a lot of oak with some caramel and butterscotch mixed in. Those flavors fade quickly into a touch of vanilla at the end as the alcohol takes over. Not too hot despite the proof. Good barrel strength bottle worth the retail price.

This is for the 15 year 2016 Limited Edition. Vanilla, honey, light oak, and sweet. Very light burn from the alcohol as it slowly fades. Coats the mouth with an oily and lingering, subtle sweetness. This is dessert in a glass. Even non whiskey drinkers would really enjoy this.

Light amounts of vanilla, honey, and floral notes. The alcohol is present throughout given its 50%. It’s not overwhelming, but it does say hello. Nice pour and would serve as a good entry scotch for bourbon drinkers.

If you love Ardbeg at all, you have to seek out this bottle. Good lord it’s wonderful.
