If there were such a thing as a barrel-aged maple scotch, this would be it. Very rich, syrupy sweet, but not disturbingly so. The alcohol shows up soon after to dry out that sweetness, and it fades like the pancakes you just ate.

Supremely rich, and in the best way. Smokey and dry up front, like a well prepared brisket. Immediately followed by a sweet and port-filled barrage of flavor. Coats the mouth and leaves you wanting to take the next taste quickly. Amazing for a 10 year whiskey.

Complex, well-rounded, and balanced. Covers the full gamut of scotch in one bottle. Very good dram and worth the price of a $15-20 pour.

Starts light, oily, and coats the mouth. Spice and proof shows up shortly after with a peppery cinnamon finish. Great whiskey.

Drinks like a high-proof whiskey cocktail. Light, sweet, dries up a bit on the back, and fades away. If you like Wild Turkey Revival, this is another option, though not quite as rich.
