Stiff, clean, leathery barrel with good body and complexity. This is my go to when I can't decide what I want. I drank a pour of this slowly from a Glencairn the other day, and after 25 minutes and half of the pour, I noticed a strong aroma of chocolate icing which carried through the palate and finish. I'm interested to see if this result will be duplicated with future pours. *After another pour at a later date, I can say that the chocolate icing notes were not an isolated event.

Good value full flavored rye.

Smoother and sweeter with less spice and more fruit than I expected from a bonded rye, probably due to the barely rye/high corn mashbill.

The more I drink this, the more I like it. A very good blend, rich and smooth.

A good mix of spicy rye with fruits and florals from the high malt content. A little sweeter than you'd expect from a 100 proof rye.

I'm partial to the Old Forester flavor profile, so I really like this one. Light and fruity with a good balance of standard bourbon flavors. I think a higher proof would enhance the body and deepen the flavor, so I'm looking forward to trying Old Forester Signature 100.

The higher proof makes this a great sipper, enhancing the OGD flavor profile to its fullest. It is a great value.
