West Cork Glengarriff Series Bog Oak Charred Cask Single Malt
Single Malt — Ireland
Reviewed November 26, 2019 (edited August 20, 2020)A nice light fruity nose. On the tongue, gorgeous chocolate. Not a hint of chocolate, BOOM CHOCOLATE! A lovely finish as the chocolate fades into lovely nuance in a medium length finish. Definitely an Irish whiskey, but the bog oak definitely added something unique.Burlington -
Tarnished Truth 3 Year Old High Rye Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Virginia, USA
Reviewed November 22, 2019 (edited December 26, 2023)It has some great elements, but somehow everything seems muted. Like a great song with the volume turned down too low. This is my initial couple of tastes with just a drop of water. Will try a bit more water next time around and hopefully it will open the flavors more. -
