Tastes

Nose is sweet with caramel and vanilla. A little alcohol too. Finish is creamy and oily. Good viscosity. Caramel comes through and a himt of chocolate.

Thought the nose was sweet smelling. Like a cotton candy. Which leads to vanilla flavor. It actually is pretty spicy for a 100 proof. Can taste the baking spices and leather. Good sip.

I was told this was very good but hot, and boy were they right. I smelled grape and sweetness like sweet tarts on the nose. The front of the palate is sweet and then comes the spices, and it turns hot very quickly. There’s a note in there i can’t pick out but its pleasant. Maybe a little ethanol in there. And boy does it last at the middle and back of the palate. Its strange to have something spicy also taste sweet. But thats what i get. The finish is more heat and just stays for a bit. Not for the faint of heart and not as smooth as a Stagg, but i quite enjoyed it. Grape didn’t transfer to the palate for me, but that sweetness did.

Very sweet smell. Vanilla prominent with some carmel. Or a sweet cotton candy. Sweet on the palate too with a toach of oak. Kind of get an initial hit then it finishes super smooth with decent viscosity. The sweetness lingers in a good way. Very good BIB.

This is Batch 3 from 2022. Not gonna lie, was a little disappointed. After hearing how good it was, i found it lacking complexity. It took a couple a couple sips to dial in the flavors. I get maple and vanilla on the nose. Once it hits your lips, the maple really sticks but its light. I was expecting the maple to be in your face. Its not. Then the oak comes through on the finish. Maybe its the low proof. I think something over 105 would help it out. But I see where you could dump it on your pancakes and be happy.

Nose was baking spices, apple, and a hint of apple. So smooth and creamy on the palate, where the oak, maple syrup, spies, start to rock up the heat and you finish with a delicious caramel that lasts a good long while due to the heat of the proof. Delicious.

Wow. So good and so smooth. Sweet with caramel flavor and a nice long finiah on the palate. Maybe some cinnamon in there. Really liked it.

Very smooth. Ends with a little kick. I think its pretty sweet. That butterscotch and baking spices coming on at that end.
