This just sounded like such a gimmick, cashing in on the Mad Men craze and all. But, hey, looks are deceiving. This very light colored dram comes in a beautiful metal tin. It greets you with this apple oatmeal scent. It goes in fruity, touch of honey on oatcake. It's got a polite finish, doesn't linger. Love this. It's just an uncomplicated drink to end a complicated day.

Glenfiddich 21 Year Reserva Rum Cask Finish
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed March 13, 2015Yes. I rated this low. There's actually nothing wrong with this dram -- there's just nothing spectacular about this at its $200 USD price point. This beautiful darker gold dram certainly comes in an impressive package. It greets you with a sweet rum embrace. As you drink it, fruits come out, and some oak follows. Ends a little spicy, fairly dry. Didn't find this to go with water at all (just a test for review's sake). -
Ardbeg Corryvreckan
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed March 12, 2015 (edited December 21, 2015)Light color. Smells sweet and smoky, almost like a BBQ. As you drink it, it tastes of resin and more BBQ. Ends somewhat salty, somewhat smoky. There's a burn of course, it's 114+ proof. Adding water seems to blunt the burn. Turning it into a highball destroys the character and reduces it to liquid smoke.
