Old design bottle picked up cheap in Madrid. Soft fruity notes into light peat and citrus. Great well rounded dram and a good go to for vacation week.

A lot like ardbeg 10 on the nose. Peat, but not heavy smoke, lemon, grass, sea salt, band aids. Taste is similar, light smoke but nice briny, peaty, citrusy notes but also a hint of fruit on the finish and much thicker/oily than ardbeg 10. Excellent islay

Oaked up makers cask strength. Heavy vanilla and caramel with a fairly long slightly spicy finish. Nice oily mouthfeel with minimal burn considering the high abv. Not bad but wheaters can be a but boring for my taste.

“Fisch in a Barrel #2”. Best damn deal on the shelf. 15yr single barrel for $43! Nose is toasted oak, heavy cherry, vanilla and caramel. Major cherry bomb with a looong spicy rye finish. Nice Thick mouthfeel with relatively little alcohol burn considering the proof. Excellent

Fucking awesome pour. Like Laphroaig 10 jacked up to 11. Peat, smoke, brine, salt, Iodine and slight bacon times a million. Crazy long finish that lasts all night. One of my favorites.

13 yr bib for under $40? Fuck yeah I’m gonna buy it. Not typically a Tennessee whiskey fan but this is solid and well worth the buy. Nose is dominated by peanutty and cherry notes. Fades into some typical spice but withsome slight bana notes. Taste is similarbut mouthfeel is a but thin. Finish isnt too long and has a but of that vitamin taste i’ve experienced with dickel before. Overall mellow from the filtering.

Wow, loving this one! Nose starts with a classic hard hit of laphroaig peat smoke and quickly transitions to slight vanilla/oak notes and a touch of fruit. Palate is fairly thick and oily. Starts again with peat smoke, fading into mellow bourbon/vanilla flavors and finishing with a ling warm slightly fruity slightly medicinal finish. Excellent

Nose is pretty much all fruit, small bit of rye spice and some vanilla. Not much of the typical cinnamon, caramel bourbon notes I typically expect. Taste is similar, all fruit from that sherry aging with rye spice on the finish. Decent stuff, but not worth the high price. I think you’re paying mostly for the beautiful packaging.

Excellent IB peated Caol Ila. Light nose of seasalt, brine, seaweed, ash and light peat smoke. Nice body that feels both light and oily at different times. Taste reminds me of ardbeg. With fairly heavy smoke into lighter medicinal and lemony notes with a nice lingering salty finish.

Really sweet nose with surprisingly little alcohol burn considering the proof. Lots of fruit caramel and seemingly little rye spiciness compared to the other of’s I’ve had. Nice warm oaky finish.
