Port Charlotte 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 6, 2019 (edited February 9, 2020)First peated Laddie and it doesn’t disappoint. Reminds me a lot of Ardbeg 10, but a bit heavier with a thicker/more oily mouthfeel and higher abv. Nose is classic Islay peat, with a hint of sweetness. Taste starts stromg peat, onto maybe a little bit a fruitiness and vanilla. Medium finish60.0 USD per BottleMidway Wine & Liquor -
So much better than regular makers. Sweet cherries, oak and maybe a bit of citrus on the nose. Taste starts a bit hot but settles quickly into cherry, vanilla, some slight saltiness and perhaps almost orange/citrus. Finish is fairly long with cinnamon and fruit sticking around. Really solid, but not quite up to the level of ecbp or stagg jr.

High West A Midwinter Night's Dram
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USA
Reviewed November 24, 2019 (edited December 21, 2019)Wow this one is excellent. The nose is like a high proof port. Tons of fruit and spice. Taste follows through the same. Sweet fruit to start, into so slight vanilla and finished with rye spice on a long finish. Love this89.0 USD per BottleGary's Wine & Marketplace -
Lagavulin Offerman Edition 11 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed November 21, 2019 (edited November 23, 2019)Peat, brine, tobacco, and dried fruits on the nose. Taste follows through with similar notes. Definite Lagavulin, but less smoky than 16. Less age makes it lighter and a bit sweeter. Still a winner, especially for the $60 price!60.0 USD per BottleRamsey Bottle King
