I wasn’t expecting this to be nearly as good as the toasted barrel, but I did think it would be slightly better than it is. I think the majority of the issue is the low proof.

Lives up to the hype. Love the flavors. Vanilla, toffee, caramel, and loads of oak on the finish.

Lots of subtle spice and smooth warm ness. Shard to pinpoint flavors. Will have to sit with a full pour and review again.

Based on so many people raving about this, I expected a bit more. For the price, it’s a decent bourbon, but a little harsh and not very complex. Probably best for mixing.

It’s definitely apparent that it’s under 100 proof (just slightly), but that lends to its buttery smoothness. The nose is pleasant with vanilla and oak. Light on the palate with sweet flavors and a slight Kentucky hug that lingers through the finish, which is very pronounced oak. I’d love if this were 10-15 proof higher.

This has the deep, rich flavor profile I’ve come to love about Woodford. Lots of vanilla, toffee and barrel with a Kentucky hug to remind you of the proof at 123.2.

Pretty solid. Nice flavors, long finish, little spicy, and a bit of heat.
