I had such hopes for this. The prior ratings being 4.5 stars but here's where I was wrong. I think maybe I am enjoying this wrong? It claims to enjoy over ice. Maybe if someone made a mule of this. Poured some fresh lime and a dash of ginger soda would probably work. On the rocks it comes out very tart and bitter. Ill try this again making something of this but this is not a neat drink for me.

The nose is very sweet. Kind of reminds me of vodka or saki. Kind of a clean refreshing feel to it. First sip is very reminiscent of saki. Almost like for like. But then again, everyone on here rating this thinks its something other than a whiskey. I wonder how this is still called a whiskey with that palette.

Angel's Envy Bourbon Finished in Port Wine Barrels
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 23, 2020Buttery nose, but then again allergies are a bit on me today. Initial palette is light and airy. Notes of peachy and fruitiness. Buttery and rich middle notes that transform to a tinge of bitterness on the finish. Slightly soapy aftertaste.50.0 USD per BottleWayside Liquor Wine & Tobacco
