Barrell Craft Spirits Gray Label 15 Year Bourbon (2021 Release)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed March 27, 2022 (edited August 8, 2022)It’s was Sunday, I was tipsy shopping with my wife at Costco, know better way to shop with you wife then a couple pours in , I was excited to see this for $199.00 at Costco I’ve seen a ton of post on IG with great finds and deals but my Costco never has anything like this, anyway l grabbed it . Honestly it’s good but nothing spectacular and wouldn’t buy another one , it’s really nothing special to me if it was $80 bucks it would be a good deal but $200 and up , that’s a NOPE . I feel like this blend has been done over and over ya it might be different ages and different labels but how many times has a dickel , MGP and Barton been done ? Feels like a ton , just kinda bored with it . Once again I’m not saying it bad just overpriced and unoriginal. -
This SOB is pungent would be the best way to describe the taste , I enjoy barrel proof or uncut so I’m no rookie to high proof and as far as I’m concerned if you need to put ice in your Bourbon you might as well put a nipple on the bottle ya big baby . Anyways this is my second go around with Booker’s , the bottle is super cool but the price is super lame $99 for a 6.5 year Bourbon that unfortunately just isn’t that interesting this one in particular I’ve had it open for 2 weeks and it’s just boring and Pungent as of now I’m done with Booker’s it’s just lame $99 bucks and it’s just not that good it’s fair a straight C but there’s way way more better out there for that price point.

Garrison Brothers Guadalupe (2021 Release)
Bourbon — Texas, USA
Reviewed October 31, 2021 (edited May 10, 2023)So let me start by saying and letting it be know that I’m a fan of the Garrison Brothers but this bottle is trash my absolute worst buy of 2021 Garrisons profile does not mix well with the port finish and at $150.00 bucks for something I won’t even drink it’s that bad . -

Barrell Seagrass
Rye — (bottled in) Kentucky, Multiple Countries
Reviewed October 8, 2021 (edited December 30, 2021)This SOB is freaking delicious, I’m not a big Barrell fan but they knocked it out the park with this one ! Literally one of my favorites this year and not particularly a big fan of sweet whiskey like Angels envy but this thang changes so much it’s crazy it like a different bottle every time you open it . I will say I do love apricot so I might be a little biased but the apricot doesn’t come through until about halfway through the bottle and then it becomes and apricot bomb . I’m on bottle 2 right now . -
Heaven's Door Redbreast Master Blenders' Edition
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed August 29, 2021 (edited December 26, 2022)Now that I have safely secured 2 more bottles , I can finally share my thoughts lol First off I was big time skeptic about this , I don’t particularly care for Redbreast and never tried heavens doors , just seemed like another celebrity jumping on the bandwagon and being 10 year Tennessee you automatically assume trash Dickel . Well all those assumptions were wrong I don’t know how but it just worked and came out with some amazing Juice ! Definitely in my top 3 for the year. Definitely recommend. Would like to know where it was sourced from I’ve heard dickel but it doesn’t match up with there Mash bill . If anyone know please share . Cheers ! -
Joseph Magnus Triple Cask Finished Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (Finished and Bottled in Washington DC), USA
Reviewed August 25, 2021 -
Had a $40.00 pour , this was the only way I was ever going to try this since most store have this bottle ridiculously priced at $1000 bucks or more . This nose is the best part , smells like Pappy 15 but from there it’s a disappointment , don’t get me wrong it’s good but everything about it is fast and feels watered down and a bit flat . I wouldn’t spend over $120 on this bottle . It’s way way overhyped and way overpriced.

"Solid once again from Redwood empire, sweet up front with a spice finish, almost feels closer to a bourbon on the palate and the the finish reminds you it’s a rye . Picked this up for $32 can’t go wrong , solid sipper my only complaint would be it’s a Little to sweet up front . Would love to try a barrel proof , I hope they put one out eventually. "
