Tastes

Nose: raisin, oranges, some cinammon spice. Strong sherry, very little smoke. Palate: caramel, orange, conammon, hint of salt and smoke. Finish: spiced rum, toasted malt. Short finish without the lingering smoke I’d expect from an Islay. 3/5.

Nose: malt, dark stone fruit, honey Palate: char up front but mild, dark fruit, caramel, grain with slight cacao bitterness; Finish: medium with dark fruit, malt, Smokey char; spicier than expected for 80 proof Body: medium with ok balance of blends, lacks complexity that would elevate it
