This is a very good bourbon beginning to end. Extremely pleasant nose with a light oak and spicy. Some classic sweetness and light fruit. The highlight is definitely the taste and finish … consistent with the nose. Love the spicy finish as it’s not a proofy finish but a nice peppery spice. My only minor criticism is that it’s not what I would call complex but rather a very nice lower proof daily albeit more expensive one. Heigold is definitely my favorite of the Rabbit Hole standard offerings. Recommended.55.0 USD per Bottle

15 year old for $50 is a pretty solid buy. Drinking better than when initially opened and still prefer the 13 year BiB. Mine is pretty low proof at around 84 , but drinks heavier than that. Spicy and oaky and does have that Dickel vitamin note. Nice once in a while, but next time I’ll be a little more choosy opting for a higher proof and store pick.50.0 USD per Bottle

Better than I remember it. Nose is quite nice … spicy a bit herbally and some very pleasant oak notes. That translates to the sip … quite spicy and peppery but a bit overpowering masking all other notes. Finish is pretty long … very spicy and nice hug. It’s drying though on the palate . It’s a try before you buy if you can as you must really like spice to want this but at $40 it’s not expensive. Drinks proofier than it’s mid 90s mark. Glad to own it40.0 USD per Bottle

I enjoy this bourbon. Quite spicy and drinks above its proof. Definite vanilla on the nose with a bit of nice oak. Finish is spicy and quite satisfying. At a quality price point I recommend on your shelf as it’s a nice 2nd step for new bourbon drinkers or experienced ones that just want something proofed down a bit without sacrificing taste. Recommended.

The nose is pleasant enough … nothing outstanding … just good. Oak and fruit are the dominant characteristics. On the taste, this really shines. That fruit note really comes through with some nice spice. I’d say the fruit on the taste is apple or maybe pear, but that finish fruit is cherry. I don’t get much of the oak note. The most surprising part is the amount of spice that comes through on the taste, and on the backend. Because you don’t get any of that on the nose. With a better nose this bottle would really shine, but is still quite good and should be on the shelf especially given that it’s so easy to find.55.0 USD per Bottle

The nose on this is very unique. I would really love to hear other people’s viewpoint, but I get a real musty and vegetal note…possibly earthy. I own a lot of bottles and nothing in what I own noses like this. Not my favorite notes TBH, but it’s unique so props on that and some folks may enjoy. And that nose transfers right to the palate. All of that earthiness and mustiness just hits you with some medicinal notes on the backend. A bit of spice and a decent finish, but I really struggle to find a lot that I like about this bottle. Maybe you will like, but I doubt I’ll buy another.45.0 USD per Bottle

The Prideful Goat 6 Years Straight Rye Whiskey
Blended American Whiskey — Indiana, USA
Reviewed January 14, 2023The nose was pretty classic MGP 95 / 5 rye. Rye spice, herbal and dilly but a tad of ethanol on the nose. enjoy the taste more than the nose. Classic rye on the taste. Not especially long finish. Glad I have it probably wouldn’t buy another bottle but will definitely drink it. Definitely one you want to taste before you buy as it’s not the cheapest bottle out there. Again, not bad just expensive for what it is.74.0 USD per Bottle -
Nice nose … almost bourbon like. Not spicy or really reminiscent of a rye. However, the taste disappointing me. The nose did not transfer over. Felt a little thin and even a bit Fenty. finish with short. I’ll come back to it, but was disappointed given a lot of people hyping this up as an on the shelf everyday great buy.52.0 USD per Bottle
