Tastes

Very Spicy all the way through, with some very favorable heat, sweet, with a bit of a hay flavor like a sweet grass. Very good whiskey, very different. Certainly different than bourbon, but a fine example of how good a rye can be

Strong fruit smell, decently smooth. Sweet to the palate very strong spice on the swallow , not a fan of the somewhat tart aftertaste. Finish is fast. Doesn’t hang around long. Buttery feel in the mouth. This scotch is much better after the first sip. About 1/3 of the way through the glass it’s taste seems to mellow, and seem much more satisfying.
