High West A Midwinter Night's Dram
Rye — (bottled in) Utah, USAReviewed January 11, 2017I found this overly hot when I first opened the bottle. It's about half empty and it's toned down over the year I've had it open and has quickly become one of my treat whiskies. It's got lovely rye spice, balanced by a rich, nuanced sweetness.
Brenne Ten Single Malt (2015 Edition)
Single Malt — Cognac, FranceReviewed January 11, 2017This is an older version of the regular Brenne. I still find way too much banana for my liking, though it is more palatable to me overall.
Brenne French Single Malt Whisky
Single Malt — FranceReviewed January 11, 2017I've never liked banana-flavored things that aren't actual bananas, and this conjurs up those little banana Runts candies. Lots of tropical fruits and sweetness. Overall much too sweet for me.
