A good solid “everyday” scotch, certainly a nice intro for beginners. Smooth, easy drinking - notes of honey, and hay with light apricot and pear. The very lightest touch of oak and very very very light in peat- if any. It’s a really nice blend and goes down easy neat, with ice, with water or even in mixes.

Simply superb. Smooth and complex. Enjoyable neat or with a few drops of water. Amazing the Japanese don’t get more credit for their whiskeys.

Amazingly Smokey, meaty, briny and strong. There are hints of oak and vanilla but the overall pungent smoke and peat make this a dram fo be reckoned with. It lacks the nuance and briney/seawater/iodine finish of a Lagavulin 16 - but damn this is a good scotch!
