A nice smooth whiskey, the sherry cask finish really shines through here. Very light peat, little to no smoke. Its buttery with just a hint if vanilla and some other lovely light notes on the finish.

It’s hot at 57.4% its full-on. A few drops of water bring back that heat and mellow it just enough. There is a buttery and oaky funk that I identify as apricot. The peat is high and the smoke is medium. Overall a VERY premium scotch.

Very disappointing. No smoke, no peat. Very hot pokey alcohol, but no peat no smoke. Lots of butter, caramel, marshmallow and rum. Quite disappointing actually - especially for the price. This is definitely an overpriced bottle. It’s nice enough but hardly a flag bearer for Islay. I have cut it with some water and it opened it up and significantly. But still not nearly as Smokey and Peaty as I’d like.

Mild, slightly sweet, mostly forgettable. Not much body. But for those that don’t like scotch this could be a good gateway dram.

An awesomely Smokey, meaty and peat soaked dram. Tar and oak char with hints of butter. This is a very hearty and robust Islay. For fans of Smoked peat scotch this is the one to go for for the biggest punch in the face. Not for the faint of heart!

Smooth, with notes of caramel, apricot vanilla and oak. Extremely light smoke from the aging and no notes of peat. I like a strongly flavoured Smokey peat infused scotch but for the price this is a fine drinking dram.

It’s a Smokey dram on the nose. But it’s all bark and no bite. I believe others have mentioned this. It’s relatively easy drinking - smooth and vanilla with oak. The smoke is only there as an illusion which is disheartening. The saline/iodine finish is not as pronounced as others have mentioned. I’m fact I couldn’t detect any at all. Still a relatively enjoyable scotch- but for the price there are FAR better selections.
