I really really wanted to like this more than I did but I was honestly disappointed. Another reviewer said this lacked the soapy sourness of other bourbons, yet somehow that is exactly the taste I get from this. There’s a sweet and sourness on the nose that to me seems to give way to bitter bell pepper notes on the palate. In my newbie opinion the cherry-vanilla-spice-char that I expect to get from bourbon is missing. I’m not finished with it yet though so let’s see if I come around :-)

Definitely that rye spice but it comes behind a lovely vanilla character. Dry woody finish. A little splurge but I’d buy another glass.

I agree with most of these reviews as far as flavor but this is way hotter than my normal sip!

Had to try it. Smells better than it tastes. It really is like drinking spiked pancake syrup. Maple is way too overpowering; there’s not much traditional bourbon flavor, let alone smoke. It’s a little viscous and sticky. Yes I’m glad I tried it but I won’t be buying it again. YMMV.

Mmm. Dark butter toffee, Cracker Jack. Corn sweetness, tons of flavor but easy to drink. After some spicy ryes, this is almost like a dessert treat.
