Aberlour A'bunadh
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed January 18, 2021 (edited February 8, 2021)Found a dusty Batch 49 in an old liquor store. It’s much darker and thicker than other batches I’ve had. Thick, oily, a little fruity, with a hint of smoke on the nose. Doesn’t get much better. -
Booker's Bourbon Batch 2016-05 "Off Your Rocker"
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed October 17, 2020 (edited February 17, 2021)Possibly my favorite batch. It’s oily, thick, vanilla and sweet... but with a little oak. Glad I found three bottles one day about two years ago. -
Soft nose... vanilla is dominant. Sweet. Some oak. Enough oil to coat your lips. About what I expect from a quality $30 bottle. Good sipper. Good flavor. Not very complex and a pretty short finish. But if on a budget, this would be in my collection. Had it side by side with HH BIB and ET BIB, and went back for seconds on BS BIB.

George T. Stagg Bourbon (Fall 2019)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 19, 2019 (edited February 13, 2020)Oaky, spicy, dry... complex flavor with a great bite and oily texture. Great finish. Doesn’t have the punch of some of the high proof GTS, but the flavor is outstanding. Get yourself a pour.
