Honey suckle and vanilla. A mellow easy drinker welcome in my glass all the time.

Lightly peated. Honey and caramel. This is not something you'd share with your buddy who loves smoke. Save this for yourself.

A very pretty dram that's toasty and sweet but not cloying with minimal perceptible smoke. Great for those who dislike peat or love caramel browned marshmallows. Highly recommend this NAS at the price point.

My new favorite Glenrothes. Sweet, mellow, leggy. If she wasn't so thin she'd earn a fourth star. That said, you wouldn't disappoint Mom if you brought her home for the holidays.

I'd like to taste this side by side with the Ardbeg 10. The Corryvreckan is an Ardbeg 10 that includes NAS whiskey matured solely in french cask. This was as peaty as a I recall the Ardbeg. This is the type of scotch that my wife asks me to re-cork because she can smell the campfire from across the kitchen. A small pour had my ears red hot. Everything smelled and tasted like cigar for a week. I'd do that again.

Smells terrible and tastes like the precursor to a series of bad decisions. We all need a night like this now and then.

It's seems both not special and yet totally satisfactory. Is this middle age?
