Eagle Rare 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 27, 2020 (edited January 5, 2021)Did not mind paying $39 at all for eagle rare. It starts off with dark fruits for me. Mostly cherries with a deep oak, which I assume comes from the 10 year age statement. The spice hits mid palate, and finish is chocolate, caramel, vanilla dessert.38.99 USD per Bottle -
Definitely rye-forward. Mouthfeel is more oily in my opinion than the bourbon line. The spice comes through on the nose with hints of dark cherry, vanilla, and a medicinal herbal note. Palate is full of spicy rye and vanilla. With ice, the spice and alcohol notes find their way through more than the desired cherry and vanilla. I prefer to drink neat as of right now Heard someone say they got strawberries and cream with floral notes on the nose. While thinking about these, those exact notes stuck out immediately19.99 USD per Bottle

Maker's Mark 46 French Oaked
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 1, 2020 (edited August 7, 2020)More pronounced than regular MM. More aggressive oak flavors while keeping the original sweetness of vanilla and caramel. Wheat bread on the nose as well
